Why

Chaos is upon us. What with current worldwide economic concerns, difficult job and housing markets, the wars, the environment, and other major crisis, many people find themselves becoming more cautious, withdrawing into what feels safer and familiar. Even putting back on old masks so they won't be noticed.

However, what may have worked in the past to help us survive in difficult situations may now actually keep us trapped. Unfortunately, many of us build walls around ourselves that effectively shut out contact that is far from a threat. Eventually the pain of settling for safe, secure and predictable interactions exceeds the pain of potential rejection or abandonment.

Others of us become numb, depressed or angry. And still others find that they need increasingly outrageous activities to stimulate their sense of the miraculous.

We each came into this world full of wonder. We were innocent, open, excited, playful, creative, loving beings. Might this not be the ideal time to step into the void, taking this opportunity to break-thru to new places, new ways of being, and taking this opportunity to shed the worn-out cloak that has been hiding who we really are or desire to be.

Our workshops are intended as a personal growth experience and should not be looked upon as a substitute for psychotherapy. They can be fun and they can involve dramatic experiences accompanied by strong emotional and physical release.

What is the story you live by? Have you come to believe myths about yourself? Do you wonder why you continue with patterns, excuses or behaviors that no longer serve you? Maybe it's time to examine the story you've been telling yourself, and create the story you want to live, from now on.

Join us to explore what might be holding you back and reshape the effect the past has had on your life. Learn more about our extended residential retreats for men only, women only and women and men. And keep breathing.

Who should attend?

If you are still affected by past feelings towards your father or mother. If you are ready to dig into un-remembered times in your past. If it has been difficult to have truly fulfilling relationships, personally or professionally. If you believe things could be better but just don't know how to move beyond where you are. If you are really ready to work on your parental wounds, especially the ones beyond your current awareness. Upon quiet reflection, note any tension or fear. This will tell you if now is the right time.

Who should not attend?

This workshop is not appropriate for pregnant women or for persons with cardiovascular problems, severe hypertension, severe mental illness, recent surgery or fractures, acute infections, illness or epilepsy. If you have any doubt about whether you should participate, consult your physician and/or therapist as well as the facilitator well before attending.
